Beanie Sigel Pleads Guilty To Income Tax Evasion; Faces Three Years In Prison
Philly rapper Beanie Sigel could be sent to prison for up to three years over back taxes.
Beanie Sigel appeared in court today (August 9th), where he pleaded guilty in Federal court to owing almost $350,000 in back taxes.
The rapper was originally accused of failing to report over $1,000,000 in income.
The Internal Revenue Service claims that Beanie Sigel failed to pay taxes from 2003 to 2005, when he was an artist on Roc-A-Fella Records.
According to reports, Siegel's lawyer Fortunato Perri Jr. will challenge the government's calculations.
Beanie Sigel is slated to be sentenced on November 18th.
