In Elle Magazine's upcoming "Women In Music" issue, Young Money's crown jewel opens up on what made her want to pursue a career in hip-hop. Apparently, the male dominated culture was never a far reach for Nicki.
“I always wanted to play with the boys. I didn’t want to be a pawn in their game or have a sidekick role. I wanted to be more of a lead character – a superhero," Minaj told Elle.
