There's been much speculation about the highly anticipated clothing line from Kanye West. While there's been no official confirmation from the rapper himself, there's been several rumors and reports surrounding its release.
It was said Ye was planning to debut his line during Fashion Week in Paris, but reports last week said the line may not be ready in time -- which was one of the rumored reasons he didn't making an unveiling during New York Fashion Week.
However, everythingYNTK just posted the alleged invitation (see below) to the unveiling of Kanye West's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which according to the paper, will take place on Saturday evening (October 1) at the Paris-based school, Lycee Henri IV.
At the top of the invitation is an inscribed "Dw," which some have interpreted it to represent the initials of West's late mother, Donda West.
The unveiling will only be shown to around 100 select individuals who were invited, but it's sure to make an impression ... and pop up on blogs and publications around the world.
West has been reportedly working with Central Saint Martins graduate students in Turnmills, a now-defunct nightclub in London, on the creation of the line. This, however, has not been confirmed either.
Just this week, Ye was spotted handpicking his fabrics, during a quiet shopping trip in London's East End.
The rapper visited London Trimmings, a shop in Whitechapel, East London, where he reportedly spent £14,000 (almost $22,000) on zippers and fabrics, in two trips, said its owner.
"He turned up unexpectedly at first. He was very polite, interested in what we had to say," Owner Ashraf Loonat, 31, told the BBC. "What was really good was when I asked him [Kanye] why he was here himself he said, 'I want to work from the ground upwards, I don't want to leave it to someone else.'"
What the line holds is currently unknown, but a source previously told New York Magazine that that Kanye's collection has references to the Samurai, sporty garments, luxury garments and embellishments will play an important role in shaping the overall look.
Stay tuned...
