Waka Flocka Flame donated his time to give back during a charity bowling event in Atlanta on Thursday (September 29), but ran into some trouble when a man approached him and a fight ensued.
According to blogger Freddy O, the Georgia rapper was playing host for the first annual event, announcing his recently launched "Homes for the Holidays" program, in which will give 10 homes to families run by single parents or grandparents, and pledged to donate $50 for every strike made during the game.
However, shortly after, a former artist -- who Waka was previously grooming -- approached the rapper, words were exchanged, and then, fits started to fly (see footage below).
A statement issued by Waka's PR team explained that the rapper "was forced to defend himself", but in the end, there were no injuries.
"To be clear, while taking one of many photos with a fans during the evening, an artist who had previously been under his helm approached him with malice, words were said and our client was forced to defend himself," the statement read. "The aftermath, though dramatic, left no one seriously injured and saw the majority of the crowd dispersed without incident."
The incident was quickly broken up, once the parties who started the trouble left, the events continued.
"Seriously, fights happen especially when big celebrities making themselves accessible to their fans. It sucks that this happened but let’s not let it overshadow its purpose. It was and still is about the community," wrote Freddy O.
