Nike Releasing 2011 Nike Mag (aka Marty McFlys) In eBay Auction
Remember those fly Nike Air's that Marty McFly wore in the 1980s classic, "Back to the Future II?" Well, they are being released four years before they are supposed to exist.
NiceKicks.com revealed Thursday (September 8) that the futuristic high-tops that actor Michael J. Fox rocked in the year 2015 in classic film are being released through Nike, and they're called the Nike Mag, or the "Marty McFly" in the online world.
While Fox is slated to appear on the "Late Show With David Letterman" Thursday evening to revealed the details, NiceKicks.com got the inside scoop.
Nike CEO, Mark Parker, told the site that the dream kicks won't be mass-produced. Instead, 1,500 pairs will be auctioned off on eBay, with the proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
The eBay auction will begin Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. PST, and will run through September 18 through eBay's Fashion Vault.
150 pairs of the 2011 Nike Mag sneakers will go up each day for the duration of the 10-day auction.
